Transfer Student Admissions

studentIUPUI offers a range of services for transfer students. Students with credit from other colleges or universities attend a transfer student orientation, have their course work evaluated by trained professionals, and have one-on-one consultations with academic advisors. In order to facilitate the transfer process, please retain all course syllabi and descriptions from your transfer college or university.

If you are transferring from another Indiana University campus, review the guidelines for intercampus transfers

For students attending Ivy Tech Community College, information on transfer course articulations can be found at Please note that articulations may vary depending on the campus you attended.

To transfer from a college or university outside the Indiana University system, follow these transfer steps.

Admissions Criteria

To be admitted directly into the Forensic & Investigative Sciences* program, current undergraduate students must have:

1. Minimum 2.50 GPA

2. Minimum of 26 credit hours (any credits)

3. BIOL-K101 or CHEM-C105/CHEMC-125 with a C- or higher

Credit Transfer

IUPUI's Transfer Credit System is a tool developed for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to provide incoming students who have college-level credit an idea of how their courses will transfer to IUPUI. Please note: awarding transfer credit is the final step in the admissions process, and the CATS does not guarantee how or which credits will transfer to the university.
